Cardano transactions per second3/3/2023 The post Hoskinson Flaunts Cardano Transaction Speed, Community Reacts appeared first on Coin Edition. Celo Celo (CELO) is a blockchain ecosystem focused on increasing cryptocurrency adoption among smartphone users by using phone numbers as public keys. In his view, Ethereum developers are stuck on technology from 2014 and need to grow and move on. The Cardano blockchain network allows for 257 transactions per second and it just recently launched its smart contract platform testnet called Alonzo. Transactions are confirmed in just a few seconds, and it boasts a speed of 250 TPS. Already, Cardano can process a higher transaction volume than the first and second-generation chains combined. For context, Bitcoin can process 4.6 TPS, and Ethereum 1.0 slightly higher 15-20 TPS. While it doesn’t have the fastest transaction speeds on this list, it does offer a high degree of security. When the Cardano chain was first tested in 2017, it was able to process as many as 257 transactions per second (TPS). It is the first peer-reviewed and academically-developed blockchain. Hoskinson said this harms the industry since it makes adoption and collaboration more challenging. Cardano can perform up to 250 transactions per second but future updates to the platform promise to increase this to around 1 million transactions per second. Cardano is a blockchain platform that focuses on community participation and security. He also accused the Ethereum developers of viewing the Cardano community as a “cult beholden to an evil, incompetent pathological lying founder who somehow has stumbled upon stolen success.” Hoskinson claims that the Ethereum core community despises Cardano and that its devs disregarded Ouroboros for the past five years, adding that it is a crime for them to even mention Cardano. A positive sight for ADA HODLers was the constant number of daily active addresses that have been maintained throughout the bearish spell. So there is some competition involved, and everybody knows Ethereum, so it’s easy to show what we do better than them, I suppose.”Įarlier yesterday, Charles Hoskinson engaged Ethereum developers in a hot debate as he criticized them for ignoring Ouroboros, the first provably secure proof-of-stake protocol based on peer-reviewed research. According to popular Ethereum maxi, Evan Van Ness, Cardano is nothing more than a 'zombiechain.' Cardano has less than one transaction per second which was substantially lower than Uniswap’s. Someone else responded saying: “Well, recently they converter to proof-of-stake (PoS). A Twitter user asked the CEO why he has been making a comparison with Ethereum on just about everything. The statements did not sit well with some community members. One could almost say that they are Ghost transactions… In Cardano, we write blocks into the blockchain at an average rate of 1 block every 20 seconds.
